[2022 GITC Participant] Tran from Vietnam > Participants' Story Global IT Challenge

Hello everyone! Hello Global IT Challenge GITC 2022! So glad to meet you all. My name is Ha Tran. I am 21 years old, and I am with the Vietnam team. 

Perhaps most of you reading my post now is the first time getting to know me.

May I ask, would it be boring if you click to read many stories with the same structural plain story like others, just like “Hi, my name is…, your name is…, and my age, your age etc.”? Following the link to look through the samples and doing exactly the same? 

I am different with others. I was discriminated for my differences. I have tried so hard to break the fence. Now I love being different, and I want to be different. All of our differences would create this coloured beautiful life, wouldn’t they? 

When I wrote these words, I really did not know what to write. And now I am talking crap. I was so certain about not sending this story to my teacher for preview. Because 100% she would tell me to write it again, and I had to keep this silly story to myself, but I really wanted to talk more with you guys. In the end I had to send to her because my English is not so good and so lucky that she helped me reframe it without trying to change me and my silly words.

Global IT Challenge 2022 , how do you feel about this? To me, it was just an unfamiliar competition until I joined the Will to Live Center. My lovely talkative and dreamcatcher-alike-teacher introduced this to all students and talked to us about Shanghai trip if we could get to the Final. But we all know, for 3 long years of Covid-19 and long-term impact of Covid-19, the GITC Final Round couldn’t be held in that beautiful gorgeous city. And now even though we are just ‘traveling’ and networking via small screens,he has kept his enthusiasm up high and motivated us to take on the challenge for personal development.

I was so lucky and wise to participate in the GITC. I would not know the world out there so wide and full of colour; and so many people like me are also trying their best every day. I don't know if any of you notice my chats in the chat box on the right corner of the screen at the opening ceremony. Honestly, my English is so bad, I could only say "hello, thank you, i am ,my name,...". But I would love to talk more with you, and able to share my feelings, introduce my proud country to all of you, exchange knowledge and culture with my international friends. It may sound unrelated, but GITC has pushed my efforts to learn English even higher. I also want to understand and communicate with international friends from different country, and curious how the host country Korea has connected us. I want to confidently say "I love you, very very nice to meet you."

I joined this competition without thinking about the highest reward. I competed with joy, because i know that GITC will continue the following years, bring a special playground for the most special ones like us.

I don’t understand how I could write this story like this, crazy but honest letter.

I love Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Korea. Wow, it’s unbelievable, I have met so many people from different nations in the world. It’s pleasure to meet you all. I love you so much. Thank you, GITC. Thank you for bringing us together. Thank you, my teachers, the Will to Live Center, and also my translator.

See you all in the next round - the final round. This time I will be more careful and smarter than before. :)
