[2015 GITC Participant] Afiriyan from Indonesia > Participants' Story Global IT Challenge

Hello! I am Afiriyan Choirul Anam from Indonesia.

I am 25 years old now, and I have physical disability, called Muscular Atrophy.

I participated in the GITC 2015, which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

During the GITC, I was really happy to meet other friends from other country.

I have new friend from Vietnam and until now we still keep in touch.

From GITC I feel like I can compete in the industry especially in the informatical side. 

So I have kept studying, right now I am working as a junior programmer.

In the company I make a website for client, following the task that I am given by the team leader. 

The logic for making scratch animation that I have learned from the GITC, was really helpful when become a programmer.

In programing a logic is really important to understand a code. 

Because the GITC was a great experience for me, I recommended my brother, who has the same disability with me, to participate in the GITC 2021.

Though it was held online due to the COVID 19, he won the first award(Best) from eTool_PPT competition!

I was very proud of him.

I and my brother would like to express our sincere thanks to the GITC for the chance.
