For those who want to change their lives and the world, joining the Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities (GITC), an event where everyone communicates by exploring IT, is for you. The GITC is the one and only international IT competition for youth with disabilities, and over 4,000 youth with disabilities from 28 countries have participated since 2011. The participants may take part in the eTool Challenge, which evaluates their skills utilizing Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint and Excel, the eLifeMap Challenge, which evaluates their skills negotiating the problems of daily life by using the Internet, the eContent Challenge, which evaluates their skills creating and editing video clips, and the eCreative Challenge, which evaluates their skills programming self-driving vehicles and developing ideas for IoT. The GITC holds National Leagues from March to June annually and selects qualifiers for an online International Preliminary Round held in July. The winners are then selected for the Final Round in October which is held simultaneously on-site and online. To get ready for GITC, prospective participants may watch video lectures and practice using materials through the eLearning portal on the official website. GITC is full of opportunities.
