Welcome Message

Greetings to youth with disabilities, Governments and CSO members around the world!
Welcome to the website of the Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities (GITC).

GITC began from 1992 in Korea with the goal of reducing the information gap of persons with disabilities. Since 2011, GITC has been expended for youth with disabilities in the world to promote their participation in the society such as entering higher education and getting a job focused on Asia and the Pacific region.

As the co-host of GITC, governments of Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, China and India have contributed a lot in the process of development of this international event.

Also every year, more than 20 governments and CSO members have made all efforts to bring youth with disabilities in their counties to GITC through IT training and preliminary national competition.

Thanks to cooperations with each government, CSOs and companies, GITC can be developed to more successful international event. Now GITC is on the way to an internationally renowned IT competition participated by countries in Europe, Africa and Middle East beyond Asia-Pacific.

This amazing result is being possible because we pay attention to youth with disabilities who continue to pursue their dream and challenge their future in communication with the world through IT. However, in spite of their dreams and challenges, still an international event, which is able for youth with different types of disabilities to be participated via IT is not enough.

Against this background, 'Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities' will continue to its journey. Even we will go one step further to make GITC an IT festival for youth with disabilities in the world to leave no one behind by reflecting the trend of 4th industrial revolution, different disability and culture, and national needs.

Once again, we would like to appreciate your visiting to the GITC website and also ask for your continuous supports for the future of youth with disabilities in the world.

Thank you
